If you don't want to miss a call while you're away from your BlackBerry or using another phone, then give Advanced Forwarder a try.
This simple little app allows you to forward incoming calls and text messages to another phone number. This could be useful if you've left your phone at home, if you use a different phone for home and for work, or if you're too busy to answer the phone and want it to be directed to someone else.
Advanced Forwarder is very simple to set up and use. After entering your password (which you specify when you first install the app) you can toggle between Enabled and Disabled. You can choose to forward calls and messages, just calls, or just messages, to a given number. Among Advanced Forwarder's other options are the ability to view an event log, and to change the language of the interface. If you like, you can even enable or disable forwarding remotely via an SMS message from another phone.
Advanced Forwarder will, of course, only forward calls while your BlackBerry device is switched on, so it's not as good as an operator-based service in this respect.
Overall though, Advanced Forwarder provides a simple way to ensure you don't miss calls when you can't get to your BlackBerry for some reason.
